Chilliwack Camera Club 2009 - 2010 Schedule

Bring a few slides, prints or digital photos taken over the summer for general viewing.  Members are also invited to bring any “shows” that they have been working on over the summer for viewing / critiquing.. Roy Chaplin will give some instruction on resizing digital photos for projection.

Assigned Subject - "Macro Insects" (1 photo allowed per member.)
Large Print Competition (1 large print (8 X 10 or larger), allowed per member. Can be any subject.)
Program:   Possible guest speaker, local excursion, or member demonstration.

Bring matted prints to the Chilliwack library for display (9 to 9:30 A.M.). If unable to get to the library, bring prints – matted and ready to be hung – to the meeting on the 23rd.    See Bob Knapp for details.

Christmas dinner and awards presentation. Location “Rendezvous Restaurant”. Gift exchange ($5 to $7). Members can bring a mini slide or digital presentation. Guests are welcome to attend.

Note:  CAPA’s competition rules say that digital manipulation is a requirement for this one!

Photo Essays can be up to 5 minutes long.  Essays can be narrated and/or include dubbed musical accompaniment. Essays can be either digital or slide shows.  If digital, then Pro-Show Gold is recommended, but other digital programs are acceptable.  Essays are judged on 3 criteria, each worth ten points each –  1. Subject flow,    2. Presentation and 3. Photography, for a possible total of 30 points.

Large Print Competition (1 large print (8 X 10 or larger), allowed per member. Can be any subject.)
Election of new executive. Selection of  “Assigned” and “Summer Shoot” subjects.
